Kāpili Waʻa (Canoe Building Kit)

This canoe building kit includes the basic parts of a double hull canoe for keiki and makua to learn the names and assemble. 

What's included:

• 2 kino (hulls)
• 4 ʻiako (crossbeams)
• 1 pola (deck)
• 1 heiau (mast step)
• 1 kia & peʻa (spar & sail)

Directions:

1. Evenly space the ʻiako across the two kino
2. Place the pola on the ʻiako
3. Place the kia in the heiau
4. Using observation, keiki can move the heiau and peʻa forward and backward to find where the central point of the waʻa is

Optional:

• Sand all the parts for a smooth finish
• Decorate the peʻa or the waʻa
• Attach all the pieces with glue
