Kalo plays an integral role in many indigenous cultures around the world. As kanaka Hawaii, we consider ourselves direct descendants of Hāloa, the taro plant. In learning about kalo, keiki deepen their relationship with their ancestor, and in turn, can mālama (take care of) it as such.

This puzzle was intentionally left with its natural wood grain giving the option to customize with color. Beneath each piece is the name of the part in Hawaiian.
